Kokyu – breath that moves
At Studio Kokyu, we explore the Japanese term “kokyu”, which can be translated as “correct breathing flowing from the body” This idea is central to our work, which blends aikido, movement, and theater.
In this workshop, we focus on breath, physical and vocal expression, and the dynamics of contact and community. It’s a chance to discover how these fundamental elements shape our daily lives.
The workshop is dedicated to people interested in working with movement, breathing and voice. It is not a strictly theatrical workshop, it is intended to help raise interest, awareness and explore processes that, being basic functions of the human body, have a significant impact on the quality of our lives.
